In an interview with Pocket Gamer, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge director Richard Ogden confirmed that the PSP version of the racer will support eight player multiplayer functionality, while its PlayStation 2 counterpart will utilize a two player split screen mode.
“The PSP version will have Ad Hoc and Infrastructure Mode multiplayer for as many as eight players, whereas the PS2 has split screen for two player races at home on the sofa. The PS2 version will also have uprated graphical content to suit its technical capabilities and bigger screen area,” said Ogden.
MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is scheduled for release on August 31, 2009.
